Specific Need
Provides support for the local DAR chapter’s efforts to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism in Sherman County. This includes purchasing flags for schools, and others in our community. Our chapter provides education on the United States Flag, and the history of our country. We provide library books on the history of our country to the local library and support the summer reading program. We provide awards and quilts for local Veterans, and participate in supporting Veterans through a variety of programs. We participate in Veterans Day and Memorial Day programs, and have added to the military portions of the cemetery, including our current project to honor Unknown Soldiers.Mission
